GALLERY - MINI BREAK TO YORKSHIRE |
We left the hotel at 9.30am for our first visit of the day which was to the RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr. The lovely grounds there were well stocked, very well laid-out, and beautifully maintained. We had lunch there and then moved on to Harewood House. This fine stately home provides a good mix of fine rooms, interesting 'below stairs', and lovely grounds. For those who wanted it, there was quite a lot of walking. For those who were otherwise inclined, there were plenty of places to relax. We got back to the hotel in time for a rest before dinner. The hotel provided some good spaces for after-meal chats.
